Historical Exchange Rates API

Look up the exchange rates of any day back to 1999 with one call, or get whole series and averages: daily, weekly and month-end rates from the range endpoint, and monthly, quarterly or yearly averages with lows and highs.

Historical endpoints

/v3/historical
All rates of one day (at least one day in the past), back to 1999.
/v3/range
A series between two dates: daily (up to 366 days per call), week-end, month-end or intraday. Medium plan and up.
/v3/average
Monthly, quarterly or yearly average, low and high rates, from market data or the ECB.
/v3/fluctuation
Start rate, end rate and change between two dates.
/v3/official
The official rates of 35 central banks, exactly as published, with their history.

Use cases

Accounting and tax

Book foreign-currency transactions at the rate of their date, or at a monthly average where the rules allow it.

Reports and audits

Recalculate past figures with the rates that applied then, and keep the source of each rate.

Yes. /v3/official returns the rates of 35 central banks (ECB, Federal Reserve, Bank of England and more) exactly as they publish them.

Can I get monthly or yearly averages?

Yes. /v3/average returns monthly, quarterly or yearly average, low and high rates.
