About the Federal Reserve rates

When does the Federal Reserve publish its exchange rates?

Weekly on Mondays, with the daily rates of the previous week. currencyapi imports every publication within the hour after it appears.

Which rate is this?

These are the h.10 noon buying rates in New York of the Federal Reserve, against the USD. Each value is shown both as the price of one unit of the currency in USD and as the amount of the currency one USD buys.

What happens on weekends and holidays?

The bank publishes nothing on those days. Rules that refer to a day without a publication usually mean the last rate published before it, which is what the API returns for such a date.

How far back does the history go?

The stored history starts on 8 September 2026 and covers every publication since.
