Which rate is this?

These are the middle rates at 12:00 (interbank market) of the Bank Negara Malaysia, against the MYR. Each value is shown both as the price of one unit of the currency in MYR and as the amount of the currency one MYR buys.

What happens on weekends and holidays?

The bank publishes nothing on those days. Rules that refer to a day without a publication usually mean the last rate published before it, which is what the API returns for such a date.
