When does the People's Bank of China publish its exchange rates?

Every Chinese business day at 9:15 Beijing time. currencyapi imports every publication within the hour after it appears.

Which rate is this?

These are the rMB central parity rates (published by CFETS on behalf of the PBoC) of the People's Bank of China, against the CNY. Each value is shown both as the price of one unit of the currency in CNY and as the amount of the currency one CNY buys.

What happens on weekends and holidays?

The bank publishes nothing on those days. Rules that refer to a day without a publication usually mean the last rate published before it, which is what the API returns for such a date.

How far back does the history go?

The stored history starts on 22 September 2026 and covers every publication since.
