When does the European Central Bank publish its exchange rates?

Every TARGET2 business day at around 16:00 CET. currencyapi imports every publication within the hour after it appears.

Which rate is this?

These are the euro foreign exchange reference rates of the European Central Bank, against the EUR. Each value is shown both as the price of one unit of the currency in EUR and as the amount of the currency one EUR buys.

What happens on weekends and holidays?

The bank publishes nothing on those days. Rules that refer to a day without a publication usually mean the last rate published before it, which is what the API returns for such a date.

How far back does the history go?

The stored history starts on 4 January 1999 and covers every publication since.
