Which rate is this?

These are the official exchange rates of the forint of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, against the HUF. Each value is shown both as the price of one unit of the currency in HUF and as the amount of the currency one HUF buys.

What happens on weekends and holidays?

The bank publishes nothing on those days. Rules that refer to a day without a publication usually mean the last rate published before it, which is what the API returns for such a date.

How far back does the history go?

The stored history starts on 3 January 1949 and covers every publication since.
